We pray...That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge
…that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19

DAY 18—The ministries appointed by the Lord Jesus are to work until we all come into unity of the faith.
The commission of the Lord Jesus is that we work toward bringing His Body into unity. To the contrary, however, too many of us have worked toward dividing His Body.
While it may seem beyond the ability of any one of us to bring about unity, we can at least begin by recognizing those who may worship differently than we worship—and maybe even believe some things differently. We can pray one for the other that the unity longed for by Jesus may come to pass.
-
I Corinthians 1:10—Now I beseech you, brethren, by the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
-
I Corinthians 10:16-17—The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the Body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread.
-
I Corinthians 12:25—That there should be no schism in the Body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
DEAR LORD, we have sinned against You in causing Your Body to be divided. Please forgive us. Please extend Your mercy to us. Please work in our community to bring us together in loving You, in worshipping You, in glorifying Your Name, and it bearing testimony to Your saving grace.
